Continue to Sponsor Winner/Listen magazines in Howard County Public Schools (elementary, middle, high). Listen magazine provides information to empower youth to live healthy, wholesome, and drug-free lives.

Continue to support Howard County Drug-Free – ($2500 donation in 2007 and 2008), Triadelphia young person is on HCDF council; help distribute HCDF newsletters.

River Hill High Post-Prom (non-alcoholic) Party Sponsor.

Partner with Linden-Linthicum United Methodist Church to provide a community marriage enrichment weekend retreat. The second annual community marriage retreat was held February 5-7, 2010, in Ocean City, Maryland. In spite of a major blizzard that weekend, twelve couples attended. Dick and Ardis Stenbakken from Colorado were the presenters. Planning is underway for the Third Annual Marriage Enrichment Retreat in Ocean City, with two additional churches joining the team: Mount Zion United Methodist Church and Maranatha Adventist Fellowship in Bowie, Maryland. Also a “Fireproof Your Marriage” small group is in progress at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, sponsored by the multi-church community marriage enrichment team.

Sponsor/organize various community programs/events such as vegetarian cooking classes, family life lectures, investment sales (like a garage sale), etc.

Door-to-door Christmas Caroling in early December.

Contribute content to community publications, e.g. annual ad in Business Monthly, Highland Days promo material, Darleen Sanford’s column in Howard County Times, etc.



Continue representation in Clarksville Rotary. Church member May-Ellen Colón is is the current Triadelphia Rotarian.
 

Pastor Robb Long represents Triadelphia at the Ministerial Association for the Howard County area.

Encourage each Sabbath School class to have a community services outreach project (or an international project—but hopefully many will alternate international projects with local ones). e.g. Adopt-a-family, other community needs, etc.

Adventist Community Services of Greater Washington (ACSGW) has accepted Triadelphia as a satellite community services center to serve people in need. A variety of services will be offered based on a preliminary needs assessment.

Partner with Atholton SDA Church in the cold weather shelter program for the homeless.

Hold an annual Vacation Bible School.

Be open to other community service opportunities/needs as they appear.

Continue to be a site for LifeLine Screening.

 
Be part of the Clarksville/River Hill July 4th Parade.
